There are, apparently, only six degrees of separation.

 

Frigyes Karinthy a Hungarian author proposed the theory in his early twentieth century work Chains. Karinthy suggested that everyone and everything is six or fewer steps away, by way of introduction, from any other person on the planet.

 

His concept being that any two people could be connected in a maximum of six steps.

 

However, just as the seventh wave is revered as the most powerful, the seventh degree of separation is also the one that is often the least considered, and, in the case of a group of otherwise unconnected people the link that is the closest to home and therefore, most treacherous...
